Schedule

MONDAY - Prinsesstårta Day 1

The first of two advanced cakes we will makes starts with make-ahead elements. A Swedish Princess Cake combines sponge cake with vanilla custard, jam, whipped cream, and marzipan. While you can cut down on the time involved for this cake by buying store bought jam and marzipan in the future, we are here to learn, so we will make everything from scratch.

TUESDAY - Prinsesstårta Day 2

On day two we will assemble our Princess Cake, making a stabilized whipped cream and homemade marzipan to cover the cake. Once the cake is set up, we’ll cover it with a thin layer of buttercream (not exactly traditional, but makes the cake last longer in the fridge) and then decorate it with marzipan and a handmade rose.
