All-purpose flour (2 1/4 cups)

Cornstarch (1/4 cup)

Salt

Unsalted butter, softened (8 oz)

Sugar (1 1/3 cups)

4 eggs, room temperature

Vanilla extract

Semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (or chips), 8 oz

Heavy cream (2/3 cup cream)

Optional flavorings for ganache filling

Equipment

2 or 3 cookie sheets or baking trays

parchment paper or silpat mats to line trays

Electric mixer, hand or stand

2 mixing bowls

small, microwave safe bowl

Whisk

Rubber spatula

Piping bag with 1/2 inch plain round piping tip (optional, you can make these using a ziploc bag with the corner snipped off as a DIY piping bag, but cookies will be more consistant with a piping bag & tip).
