Ingredients

All-purpose flour, 2 cups plus flour for dusting

Granulated sugar, 1 cup

4-5 medium or large tart apples (such as Granny Smith, honeycrisp, etc)

Salt

Unsalted butter, 7 oz (high fat “European” style preferred, such as Kerrygold, Pulgra, Tillamook, or Strauss…look for 12 grams of fat per serving)

Apple cider vinegar, or white wine vinegar, or champagne vinegar

Vanilla extract

Lemon juice, 2 tsp

Ground cinnamon

2 large eggs

1 tbsp milk or water

Equipment

2-4 mixing bowls (at least 1 large)

1 large baking sheets or cookie sheets

Parchment paper (optional for easier clean up of pan)

Plastic Wrap

Large knife or rotary pastry wheel

Ruler or measuring tape

Rolling pin

Rubber Spatula

Whisk

Medium sauce pan (about 2 quarts is sufficient)

Fork

Pastry brush (optional)
