Ingredients
All-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups (210 g) plus more for dusting. (Gluten Free all-purpose flour mixes will work, but you will need to measure by weight, not by volume. The best GF blend for pasty is GF Jules. It is pricey but worth it.)
Granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon
Salt
Unsalted butter, 7 oz
Apple cider vinegar, 2 teaspoons
Raw pecans, 2 1/2 cups (halves or pieces, it is up to you and the texture you like in a pie)
Brown sugar, 3/4 cup (light or dark)
Lyle’s Golden Syrup or Dark Corn Syrup, 3/4 cup (Finding Lyle’s is worth it. Sold on Amazon, Surfas Culinary District, Cost Plus World Market, Gelson’s, and Bristol Farms, amoung other places. Dark or light corn syrup will work as well. Maple syrup or honey are NOT good substitutions and will cause your pie to not set or crystallize.)
Vanilla Extract, 1 1/2 teaspoons
3 Large eggs
