Preparations
Please have eggs, butter and buttermilk all at room temperature. There is no need to pre-measure anything. We will do everything together!
Buttermilk substitute: measure 1/2 cup of milk, remove 2 teaspoons, add 2 teaspoons of white vinegar or lemon juice. Stir and let stand for 10 minutes.
If you purchase real buttermilk, keep in mind that milk products freeze well for several months.
